“Immanuel”

See the Baby there in a manger
The Savior Who’s come down to earth
Wrapped in rags and open to danger
Still He chose a human birth

All-consuming Fire
Joy of our desire

Come let us worship and bow down
Kiss His cheek, see His crown
This Baby is Immanuel

See His mother there as she ponders
Son of God in her loving hands
Ordinary yet so highly favored
She yielded to God’s holy plan

Like her we find grace
When we seek His face

Come let us worship and bow down
Kiss His cheek, see His crown
This Baby is Immanuel

From His mother’s womb
To the empty tomb

Come let us worship and bow down
Kiss His cheek, see His crown
This Baby is Immanuel

"For my name's sake I defer my anger, for the sake of my praise I restrain it for you, that I may not cut you off. Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tried you in the furnace of affliction. For my own sake, for my own sake, I do it, for how should my name be profaned? My glory I will not give to another."
